(soft music) - [Instructor] Hello and welcome BienVenue, to the windows 11 release notes for February 2022. This month tips are about new ways to manage your Microsoft Account page and Settings. And how to find the new HelpWith feature. We have a lot to talk about this month. First, let's walk through what's in the update. Here's some of the issues that we resolved. As part of our ongoing work to make taskbar improvements. We updated an issue that affects the auto-hide feature of the taskbar. Which might prevent the taskbar from reliably appearing when you hover over the primary or secondary display. We updated an issue that might display icons for apps that you've closed as if the apps are still running. We updated an issue that makes the volume icon on the taskbar appear as if it's muted even though it's not. And we updated an issue that might prevent icons from appearing on the taskbar of a secondary display. In addition to the taskbar improvements, we also made some updates to input method editors or IMEs. And some language updates as follows. We've corrected the Japanese text that informs a customer about the Windows update progress. We've improved IME typing reliability for Chinese and Korean IMEs. For those living in Jordan, we've updated daylight savings time to start in February 2022. Other items of interest include updating some issues that affect File Explorer's performance when you browse for files and select files. We improved auto brightness to supply a better response under low light conditions on all the supported systems. We updated a known issue that might prevent some image editing programs from rendering colors correctly on certain high dynamic range or HDR displays. This often affects white colors that might display in bright yellow or other colors. You can find out more about other fixes by reading the Highlights section and the Improvements and fixes section of the January 2022 preview article. and the February 2022 security article. And now for our tips. For the first feature, we will walk through the new Your Microsoft account page. Previously for Windows 11 Home and Windows 11 Pro additions, if you wanted to define Microsoft account information you would select Manage my accounts from the Accounts page. Now you have quick access of information related to your Microsoft account directly within Settings in Windows 11. Open your Settings application. Select Accounts. Under Accounts you'll find Your Microsoft account page. Where you can view and manage your Microsoft 365 subscription. And links to other information associated with your Microsoft account. In the future, we'll be adding more account related information and experiences in the Settings app. The other new feature called HelpWith. Brings more support to your fingertips within the Settings application. You may have previously seen the HelpWith feature on Windows 10. Microsoft is now bringing this feature forward for Windows 11 users. Let's take a look. Open your Settings application. Go to one of your settings pages. For this example, we'll choose System Display. Move to the bottom of the Window and view the HelpWith section. Note the available topics. By using Microsoft Bing technologies in your Settings window HelpWith we'll suggest relevant topics for the setting that you're currently on. If you click or tap on one, it will take you to a browser window where you can explore that topic. Are there Windows 11 features that you'd like to know more about? Send us feedback in the section provided at the bottom of the February article. That's it for this month. Thanks for watching. (foreign language) (soft music)
